watching and waiting........with hope............

Well its election day as we vote for a new President in Malawi! Things were very quiet in Mzuzu and crowds of people came to vote. There were a few minor scuffles in Blantyre and Lilongwe where some of the ballot papers were late and voting centres opened late, which resulted in some people taking things into their own hands!!

People were ticking the papers for their chosen candidates or else thumb printing them if they did not feel confident to write! The poling stations closed at 6pm and counting has begun - and the counting of course is manual!!

Praying for peace after the new President is announced - here, its the one with the most votes - we don't need a majority.........so watching and waiting........
