Spring on the Summer Isles

After berthing overnight in Ullapool we left the following morning for Tanera Mor in the Summer Isles. This island was farmed at one time by Sir Frank Fraser Darling and recorded in his book 'Island Farm'. After being ferried ashore in the tenders, several of us climbed a hill to enjoy the view over to Achiltibuie and finished up with coffee in the café and sent postcards with the distinctive island stamp and postmark.
