Eastern Pondhawk

This one is either a young male or a female. Eastern Pondhawks are an aggressive and voracious species of Dragonfly found from Quebec and Maine to Florida, west to Mexico, and north to Washington State. Males are known for their distinctive 'cartwheeling' display behavior. Pondhawks are sometimes called Green Clearwings.
