Once upon a time in wild wild Wales

Today was the first time in my life I hooked a maggot on a wire which was attached to a stick and cast it into a lake , yes I went finishing . I didn't catch a thing and had to get the father - inlaw - to be, to untangle the line three times. I must say there was more action above the lake than the bottom what with the cloud of mozzies above my head. I won't leave my future wife a fisherman's widow but I now understand the tranquility and peace involved in the hobby.
