Sensory garden

This was intended to be my blip for MonoMonday entrances and exits. I forgot the mono setting, and then didn't have time to upload the image on the day!

This is a new garden at the hospital. It is open to all, but is especially aimed at dementia patients. There are lots of Yorkshire themed objects around the gate and the seating areas, and there are objects set into the walls (e.g. cricket balls etc).

The post by the seating area is a "gramophone" and has summer and winter sounds. A lot of the sounds seem to feature running water. It is a lovely idea, and some I'm sure will find it soothing - unfortunately for some people it will mean that they can't stay in there too long..........!
