Full Gardening today
I enjoyed a happy, full, sunny day of gardening with a friend. We got nearly everything planted, mulched and cleaned up. Great swaths of the back lawn are covered in some kind of fragrant white flowers, dandelions and forget-ve-nots. This grows up to cover the bottoms of the shrubs. when we finished we just stood out in the midst of the 'meadow" and imagined we were in France or somewhere else!
But the best thing, still, is the nearly carefree front entry shown here. I have not planted anything. I continue ripping out the Bishop's Weed or Gout Weed on the right. The only additions this year are the colourful pansies by the steps. I was delighted today to discover my three primroses had survived the winter and will be blooming with their purple flowers by June.
The last of the daffodils is gone now.
So, that's the single sunny day for this week done and put to bed. By Sunday or later next week there will be another sunny day. Someone else is getting out sunny days...
