Packing Up
My friend is moving home temporarily and needed to make a start on the packing up. I am always willing to help if cake has been baked. Lemon Drizzle, tied up in waxed paper with a chiffon white ribbon and in a William and Kate tin. Her prized tin - she is such a royalist. It was delicious.
I often wonder at the design and shape of everyday kitchen items. Take a set of standard bowls, the way the fit together and create a tactile stack of shiny blue porcelain. That is very satisfying indeed. Life's simple pleasures, you can't beat them.
My father's lens is proving very difficult to focus. I can't decide if it is the quality of the lens, it's attachment to my camera, or just my ever decreasing eyesight that is the problem? Yet there is something quite magical about using the lens my father once cherished. I like the softness it produces. I reckon it's the softness that he held in his heart, always.
