A shady corner
It poured down this morning but the sun has now returned. I am grateful for the shady corners in the courtyard as I have not yet put up the summer awning. Today I had to drive over an hour to the nearest dealership to get a non functioning window repaired (under guarantee) and some paintwork redone, (not under guarantee) having scraped the wall opposite. As the car is fairly new I felt like getting it done. The little French car Mrs TT drives around in is treated in the French manner - biffs and scratches are ignored. I walked around looking at the cars in the village after I scratched mine - I did not find one that did not have a mark on it. It is partly to do with narrow mountain roads and uneven stone walls everywhere but it is also about having a more utilitarian attitude to the metal box on wheels! After the visit to the garage, I did a shop in Decathlon for more lightweight walking clothes and sportswear and then shopped at the local hypermarket where you spend more time walking the aisles than choosing the goods! I did point out the iPad air to Mrs TT and reminded her I have a special birthday coming up!
