Just something I rustled together...

Alex's parents came today to join Zoe, Milo & Nick.
Following all the to-ing & fro-ing from last night I hoped the day would be much less stressful.
I was up early having slept in Ferguson's bed & got onto baking a cake, mostly with what ingredients I had to hand.
The result was a chocolate & hazelnut liqueur cake topped with fresh berries.
I tackled the mountain of washing up whilst the Darkes took Noodle out for walkies.
They were gone as long as I thought but it was nice to almost have a clean kitchen upon their return.

Bed was most welcome. I was mentally & physically exhausted.

Ps. Chianti is white wine....
(this amused me a little bit - at poor Alex's expense. )
