Turn around......
An early start this morning as there is a busy day ahead and a sunset shoot is not possible. I headed to my favourite spot to watch the sunrise and found a number of other photographers had the same idea. As it happens I was not thrilled with the sunrise and found it difficult trying to work angles with 6 other photographers polluting my shot scattered along the rock shelf further out.
I remembered Ken Duncan's advice that sometimes the action is actually happening over your shoulder and if you are too focussed on the shot you want you may actually miss the real beauty around you.
I love the golden morning light as it illuminates the Skillion. The sandstones seem to throw lovely rich oranges and it is often reflected nicely in the standing water on the shelf below.
Even so there is still a photographer in there but I decided to allow him to stay and not clone him out because I thought it allows a nice sense of scale.
Have a great day .
Barbra Streisand lyrics.....
"Golden Dawn"
One golden dawn
One summer night
With nothing left to say
We left the dream begin
It was carried on the wind
And it wandered away
One golden sky
One spark of light
Forever will remain
