On the rocks

Beautiful sunny day, so could not resist going back down to Sandy - but at the other (rocky) end. Went right down to the water to investigate this large pole that had been tumbled onto the rocks. It's about a foot in diameter and over 12 foot long with its top shattered. Another cleanly cut, perfect round section, about 5 foot long, was not too far away. Don't look like telephone poles, but other explanations don't fit. You can see the waves have moderated quite a bit from previous days.
