We have travelled from Sydney back to Brisbane today. Internal flights are so easy here with far less procedure and security than in Europe.

We are now regarding Brisbane as home as this is our third weekend based here. Once we had settled into our new apartment we took a stroll along the river to the botanic gardens and watched the lorikeets and water dragon. In Sydney's Manly district there were signs warning of 6 month jail sentence for capturing or disturbing the dragons. Here in Brisbane they are all over the place. Incredibly they can still be difficult to spot even though they are 2 feet long.

The most common wildlife however is the ibis that are savaging the streets much like gulls or pigeons at home. More unusual but still the same pest value at times.

Inevitably we managed to find our way back via the riverside bar for a sundown beer :))
