More flowers in the rain . . .

I anticipate quite a few similar photos in the near future, having read the weather forecast!

The flower buds 0n the peonies are just opening and they are really struggling to keep their heads up in the rain! The garden is loving getting a really good drenching, the soil is dark and little green seedlings are springing up, the sparrows and collared doves gathering to nibble them off as they emerge! I have nets and strings and flapping bags but they have no fear - fresh greens are far too tempting!
