Shapes

I think that the shapes on this tree trunk are so interesting. If I were an artist (Arteegeedee?) would use this as an abstract water colour......even if it is mono!

We take trees for granted so much of the time and yet they take so many years to reach maturity (like most of us!) and they do so much good both for us in terms of shade, shelter for stock, provide wonderful changes of colour through the season and a rich habitat for wildlife.

Yet there are those that will take the chain saw to them without a thought just because they might not be in quite the right place. We should give more thought to preservation unless they are dangerous/dead.
