Our family

Weeks of activity around the box
And squeals of hungry chicks
Ceased suddenly.

We feared the worst
Hoped for the best
And wondered.

And cheered to see
The parents back
Ferrying food to their fledglings.

We've so enjoyed watching the great tits at their nestbox in our garden and it's lovely to see a successful fledging. Let's hope they all survive.
