Bad hair day

The heron just happened to shake its damp head at the moment I took one of these telephoto snaps - all its neck feathers ruffled out for just a moment. The pair of herons were stalking around the reservoir, looking prehistoric and primitive. I'm sure they would say something similarly rude about the over evolved mammal who was trying to get some shots of them...
