Proudly strutting...

I think pheasants are one of the most beautiful birds in the world. I saw some unusual ones at Kew Gardens once - years ago - under a huge rambling bush. They were so fabulous I thought I was dreaming them up. Amazing colours both deep and vibrant and gentle pastel shades and unbelievably magnificent tail feathers. I later learned that I wasn't going funny in the head but that they were of an 'exotic' variety - and they certainly were out of this world beautiful. But the everyday, common pheasant captured here it is just as special... :-)
