Springburn Winter Gardens

I only had time to grab a few quick shots first thing this morning. Weather was overcast and the results were poor. This was by far the best of the bunch.

I'm fascinated by abandoned derelict buildings as a photographic subject. Looking through the frame you will see what was the Winter Gardens which have been derelict for over 20 years.

I tried to photograph them in the summer but they were so overgrown by plants and weeds that you couldn't see anything, but at this time of year the frame can clearly be seen. I may go back for a better picture before Spring comes along.

I'm sure I read a while back that they had received funding to restore them but I haven't heard anything recently.
