Grumpy

Every year we find a baby blackbird hiding in the undergrowth. Its parents are so attentive - they bow to its every need. And the ending is not always happy. No wonder it looks a little grumpy - fallen from its comfy nest, essentially out in the big, wide world!

So tonight was no surprise when I saw 'Mum & Dad' flying to and fro, laden with worms. I spotted junior hiding in the shadows - I just hope I'll see it again in the morning. And its massive feet!
