Exhausted

So the kids were here for 3 nights and left today. A mostly happy time, a lot of 'letting go' and accepting that nothing has changed and it never will! Beautiful kids, though showing signs of disobedience, and 2 action packed days at local attractions.

The house is quiet. Sam is quiet. Ticking clocks and gentle conversation is all that can be heard now; a sharp contrast to the squeals and shouts of a few hours ago. Physically I'm wrecked and will take a while to get my symptoms under control again but it was so worth it. :) I hope they come back one day.
