Hail!

My poor tree. It had just started to grow it's leaves and we had a late frost that killed them off. A few weeks passed and it started all over again, I was so relieved. Today it hailed. Big, ugly, severe thunderstorm hail and very strong winds, and my poor tree lost about half it's leaves :0(

Quite a scary storm, we hid in the bathroom as it has no external walls. A friend of my neighbor said the clouds were swirling (tornado style) right above where we are and the storm chasers were putting out their "stuff" on the highway near our house waiting for that cloud to drop it's funnel and level our neighborhood - thankfully, it didn't, although there was a tornado on the ground in another area nearby. Having a storm cellar has just risen to the top of my To Do list :0)
