before the rain came

Today started very warm and calm, but we had to go to Hanmer late morning and drove through a 'norwest gale. Our outdoor chairs had scattered in amongst the trees on our boundary, the table was upended on the lawn with the glass table top lying across the path - unbroken fortunately, but the lawn has a huge gouge in it where the glass hit.

However our arrival was perfect timing - just as this rainbow developed (and almost its shadow), and by the time we had unpacked the car the heavy rain set in for the rest of the afternoon. Hope it is much better weather tomorrow.
