Work Crew

So according to research at MIT, including a golf cart in your photo is a recipe for instant internet unpopularity, and that, as we know, can be embarrassing. Lucky I kept the golf carts in the background (phew!) and focussed on the set of drains that the guys were building. Who doesn't love drains? You can laugh like one, after all. Well, at least in Britain you can.

So anyway, joking aside, this is volunteerism in action. The golfers got together with the manager of the village golf course and raked dead leaves out of the drains, carted away dirt, added sand and gravel, sodded and reseeded the fairway, saving the village thousands of dollars in the process. And to help with the publicity, I showed up and took pictures, one of which, with a bit of luck, might appear in the local paper.
