Church of the Pokrov, Longsight, Manchester.

This is the Church of the Pokrov and the Holy New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia and is situated in Clarence Road, Manchester. I pass it each time I go to the bus stop. 'Pokrov' means The Protecting Veil of the Mother of God and no, I didn't know that either. It is one of many denominational churches in Longsight, as befits its multicultural population.
