Limone de Sorrento.

Mr CFJ took me to Sorrento a few years ago as a surprise for my birthday. I had always wanted to visit Pompeii and the Amalfi coast. The whole experience was wonderful as I was convinced that all I was getting was a DVD! One of the most memorable aspects was the huge amount of lemon based products made from these fabulous fruits.

They don't taste like "normal" Spanish lemons- they just taste like lemons ought to- slightly acidic but with a perfumed, slightly floral fragrance. Once you taste them- you will always try to buy them. I was lucky enough to buy them in ASDA!

They make the most delicious lemon curd. ( Great with a gin and tonic too.....)
