Peacock courting chicken

It was such a funny sight to see this proud, exotic looking representative of the pheasant family, peafowl parade majestically in front of a group of representatives of the Finnish native breed of chicken in an aviary in park Sorsapuisto.

The chicken were looking utterly bored, they could not have cared less. It was such a funny sight.

After bird watching we went to listen to some beautiful, strong fado music straight from Portugal. There was a concert by Mariza, who is at the moment probably the best known fado singer in the world. She has a very good voice, and a nice repertoire of more traditional and modern fado songs.

Of course my all time favourite is Amalia Rodriguez, but I think Mariza came very close to her in her music. - Waiting for more fado in two weeks when we go to Portugal and Brazil, jee!
