Woman on a ladder
The Khumbu Icefall - W. Yorks. UK
We had just been discussing Tunc Findik's Everest ascents (a Turkish mountaineer whose latest book I've just proof read) when we came across this old ladder. So here we see her demonstrating what it may entail crossing a crevasse on the Khumbu icefall !
It wasn't too easy even without the full pack, heavy boots & crampons plus the affects of altitude. She has been to 6000M (the Khumbu is at this level) in Pakistan and climbed plenty of ice in Europe, but where there are no hazards from nettles.
