Not a very comfortable place to choose, among the emerging pine needles. This is a seven-spotted ladybird, the most common ladybird in Europe. All my bird and bug shots seem to have words like 'common', 'numerous', and 'widespread' in their descriptions. We average, ordinary types have to stick together.
