pick up a pick up a penguin

Today I took 24 pictures of my bookshelf. I am not sure that's healthy. Anyway my lack of tripod and good camera meant that you don't really see my collection at its best. That doesn't matter as what you ought to do with a green penguin is pick it up and read it.

The recent appreciation of Penguin's design savvy and the launch of retro tea towels and mugs with their book covers on them legitimises my love of old detective stories and I no longer feel slightly sheepish about getting them out on the train.
