Art Attack!

...or farting about with the arty farty stuff!

Kathymay and I were very silly in Manchester Art Gallery today. We started off seriously by taking pics of the Joana Vasconcelos installations but then we were like naughty school children sniggering by the naked statues of men as we took silly shots. We were lying on the floor and pointing inappropriately and laughing, whilst the 'grown ups' were studying the art.

We went along to Albert Square to see if there they were still filming Ripper Street, but there wasn't an actor in sight, sadly. So we had a little mooch around the Spring Markets in St Ann's Square. When the rain started we took shelter in Annie's and had a bit of lunch. It was still rather soggy out when we left so we went into Waterstones to peruse the photography books as I have a book token that is burning a hole in my pocket. I couldn't decide on which I wanted so I will have to go back again another day.

It was still raining so we decided on the Art Gallery next and we had fun in there before a drink and a sneaky cake in their cafe.

On the way home I called in on Sian, her girls were busy looming. Charlotte whipped me up a lovely yellow and black bee loom bracelet before I left...this was my second pressie of the day. Kath is a whizz on her new sewing machine and she had made me a fab drawstring bag with skeleton material. I love skulls and skeletons so it was wonderful surprise. What a great day!!
