Winged Figure

I've worked in central London for well over 30 years, and it was only whilst looking more carefully around Oxford Street today with my new "blipfoto eyes" that I realised the sculpture displayed on the wall of the John Lewis store is a piece called "Winged Figure" by the renowned British artist Barbara Hepworth. It was commissioned by the John Lewis Partnership in the early 60's, and has been in place on their flagship London store since 1963. The sculpture was refurbished last year to mark its 50th anniversary.
