From the Bell Tower
After getting home in the wee small hours today, we weren't in any hurry to get up and out, even though it was looking much brighter and it wasn't raining. When we did decide to get some fresh air in the afternoon it started raining, but not enough to dampen our spirits. We went to the bakery and bought some savory and sweet pastries, then went walking in the narrow village streets up to the clock tower, where I took my photo.
Our good friends C and J took us out for dinner at a charming restaurant in a small hamlet we probably would never have found ourselves. The food was excellent, and will no doubt be described -- and perhaps illustrated -- in Cynthia's blip.
I am trying to get to bed early tonight -- at least before midnight. It's all relative, n'est-ce pas?
