LATE AUTUMN:
What a strange day it has been. Feeble sun at 10am so with Peters help I transferred 3 seedling maples to the back section & then we planted another lot of narcissi. Then the rain came down & forced me back inside. At 1pm the sun came out again & I could see fresh snow on the mountains so I grabbed my camera & rushed out; correction, walked sedately (!) took this photo, (but can't see the snow) and within 5 minutes, it was pouring again. The day can't make up it's mind, if it wants to be wet or sunny.
Meanwhile I have burnt a tray of shortbread ! Wouldn't that 'rip your ration book' ?
This is on the left side of the garden looking over the lawn to the driveway on the other side; running from right to left & down to the street.
Note : several bales of peastraw went out this week. The bedding down process has begun.
