Storm Clouds over the Valley

I may have mentioned before that I love gadgets. I pour over the magazines or wander down the aisles of shops selling anything new or ingenious that I convince myself will help organise my life in an interesting or different way. My long suffering husband will often shout "eyes left" if PC World appears on the right although he is reasonably grateful for my cast offs. I have been patronised by young men in phone shops who marvel that an older woman has more than a basic understanding of her phone but are grateful for my addiction as I am a key contributor to their sales targets.
However, forgive the hyperbole, but I would now argue that gadgetry has saved my life. In a recent foray into The Apple Shop I decided to buy a fit band and, more importantly a blood pressure monitor that links to the iPhone. Previously, I had never thought about my health as I feel perfectly fit and well but the gadget called to me. Without it I wouldn't have known that I have seriously high readings. So, all that wasted money and items that languish in the drawer have been worth it.
Thought the image of storm clouds over the Rodean Valley sums up the message of this blip. Ha ha.
