Memory.

I thought it was appropriate today to feature an amazing Scottish building as I am still reeling from watching the pictures of the art school in Glasgow going up in flames. This is a detail of Sweetheart Abbey in the village of New Abbey, founded in 1273 by Lady Dervoguilla of Galloway, wife of Lord John Balliol who founded Balliol College, Oxford. When she died she was buried with her husband's embalmed heart next to her and the abbey was named in her memory.
