Brighter Later

Said goodbye to friends from Cumbria today and guests have arrivied from Cumnock. Went into Kirkwall to buy some plants at the Annual Gardening Exhibition. Wild rumours were sweeping through the crowd at the Mart that a patch of blue sky had been spotted. Without wishing to tempt fate it looks as if next week could be 'no bad'.

Away across to the Harray Ceilidh tonight. Every year as part of the Orkney Folk Festival a couple of visiting bands make the trip north. Tonight it's the Pentland Ceilidh Band so we're going to see 'whit like'.
