You forget so quickly!

I had forgotten how difficult it is to do a scale drawing of a building when nothing is square and how many times you have to check measurements when it just does not look right! Luckily the building in question is next door to me and I am having to do some re planning of the interior and the drainage system so revisiting to check measurements is straightforward.
It is probably nearly 20 hers since I last did a similar task and funnily enough it was for the house in which I now live. I did the modernisation drawings for planning and building regulation purposes.
Just after all the work was finished I got divorced I ended up renting it and finally buying it!
I bought the one next door to sort out gardens etc and it is my pension fund. It has been let for the past 12 years but unfortunately my tenant passed away early this month and so now is the time to carry out some improvements.
I decided to treat myself and so bought a Disto laser measure on eBay which has been of great help - just wish it would also produce the drawing as well!!
You will note of course that I can not be bothered to get my old drawing board down from the garage roof and so am using my dining room table - I am being very very careful with the compass!
