365:144 Bah Lamb
You're not wrong. That is an odd photo.
I did my 144 research yesterday. On this day in 1830 – The nursery rhyme "Mary Had a Little Lamb" was first published as an original poem by Sarah Josepha Hale. Easy peasy. Today I would go forth and happily photograph lambs for an hour or so. Only today proved to be a busy day and I have not been able to go out. I returned to Wikipedia. Aha! In the birthdays, I found Joseph Rowntree. I could just dig out a drum of cocoa from the cupboard. I did.
It was Cadbury's.
Stumped. I pondered a while longer and remembered that when we went to town we had purchased some Young's Double Chocolate Stout. It would have a ram's head on the bottle, of course and that was close enough to being a lamb, plus had the choccie connection for old Joe... only the bottle has been redesigned and no longer has a proper ram's head on it, just a stylised device.
I was bemoaning the fiasco with my beloved when he pointed out that we had not just bought stout but also a packet of sweeties and that those sweeties were... Rowntrees Fruit Pastilles.
My luck holds out. Still not a blob.
