Baked Alaska - melting in the heat

Very Hot Day, +33c around our hoods! Sunny, lovely summer day, almost too hot for sunbathing...

So I kept in shadows in the garden and first cut the lawn and then made a short trip to the grocerie's. In the afternoon I had teens and bicycles with me and drove some 5km via shadowy routes for shopping (some shorts and T-shirts for them). As there was so hot air outdoors, it was kind of nice to stay in the refrigeratored shops in mall - and have a portion of ice-cream too.

My favourite ice-cream is Ben and Jerry's Baked Alaska, and today I had maybe the last portion of it for some years as the flavour is already withdrawn from Finland. This restaurant had last two portions for us. So that is why I blipped this last polar bear of the ice-cream ball!

After the bicycle trip we decided to go for swimming. The beach was half full of people and the water was warm and lovely. One of the best ideas today!

The cat with some problem with his leg is now recognized and one aquintance of mine promised to make a contact to the cat's owner. I hope this helps. If not, I will contact the animal rescue team of the area... Remains to be seen.

Tonight we had the most peculiar surprice: The Finnish Hockey Team plays tomorrow agains Russia - for gold medal in World championchip games. It feels like a miracle: quite young team and first games seemed more than hopeless... no one hoped anything. But now - a miracle - and tomorrow is a hockey night too, nice!!!
