Life in the Old Tree Yet....

I quite enjoy mixing black and white with colour - be it a glass of red wine or a golden saxophone.

In this case, I guess I am trying to emphasise the vitality of the bird - the tree is old and we know it now to be largely hollow, its bark is pitted, gnarled and amazingly textured, and it still produces fruit - the bluetit is so young...
