Goodbye 2009

Trying out some macro shots.. I realized this morning (as my brother was taking down the Christmas lights) that my macro lens goes down to f/57. what?! That's crazy awesome.
I decided to forgo the usual fireworks photos from New Year's. Mainly because everyone else will have them to share, but also because all of mine were really smoky-looking.
New Year's was wonderful: family blackjack, red wine, champagne, prime prime rib, gorgonzola/cream/garlic potatoes, fireworks.... et cetera...

Backblipping these finally... I guess it's only been a few days, but it feels like forever.
