Wall of the Missing

Pops and I went sightseeing today. Open top bus in and around Cambridge. The threat of rain kept everyone else downstairs, but we were brave (or mad) and sat up top.

We walked round the American Cemetery. It's quite a spectacular sight. Nearly 4000 WW2 service men are buried here and over 5000 more are commerated and named on the Wall of the Missing shown above.

Being so close to Duxford Imperial War Museum, we were also treated to some fly overs by some WW2 planes.

Best yet - we didn't get wet on the bus!! :o)
