Dutch Coffee Shop, Breda

THANK YOU for launching yesterday's sunset into the spotlight! You really all are fab and faithful!

This is the coffee shop where hubby occasionally picks up a supply of medicinal plant products. Seriously ... yes, seriously! One of the Gang of Four works here and most probably earns as much as an assistant bank manager. It's a serious undertaking, there are rules that need to be carefully followed, and the products need to be of good quality. Hubby stopped smoking 4 years ago and won't ever begin again, so these plants aren't exactly smoked. Instead, they're inhaled, for lack of a better word. Result -- his backache-neckache-shoulder pains become bearable and he can sleep better.

In case you're thinking of visiting, Breda is considered to be a town along the Dutch-Belgian border, and this means that no non-Dutch person will be admitted. You'll need to drive further north to, say, Dordrecht, or even Rotterdam.

We had dinner in Breda this evening at one of our favourite restaurants, an Italian one. The owners are getting married on this 4th of June and I will prepare a card. He's a real Italian chef and she's a really good manager and together they run a really fab joint. My throat was acting up a bit, though, and the coughing has tired me out a bit. Cup of tea coming up ...

Have a good weekend, everyone!
