A Selfie?

CC's Mum (FredaH) is still in hospital and we have #2 daughter Katkatkat visiting from Edinburgh.As much of the day was going to be taken up with the trip to Carlisle and visiting time we decided to combine it with a trip to the garden centre to buy herbs for the Belfast sinks I mentioned on the 19th.

After a good lunch at the Toby Carvery we went to the garden centre where Katkatkat used her culinary expertise to help advise on which herbs would be most use. While wandering round the outside part of the centre I came across this little guy and it has in the past been suggested there is a resemblance.

After visiting it was back home and changed for going out to dinner with my brother (Kanyl)and his wife to celebrate her birthday. We went to Albany house a local B & B. Now this doesn't sound exciting but when you realise that Archie used to run one of the towns foremost restaurants and only opens to the public on Fridays and Saturdays things begin to come into focus. If you want a table (there are only 15 seats) you have to book at least 4 months in advance. While we were there a party were booking for Christmas. An excellent meal canapés, starter, main course, sweet, Cheese and biscuits followed by coffee and mints. A good time was had by all.
