Back Bay

Off to Boston today for a quick visit before we head off for a quieter location. It was a beautiful, sunny afternoon so we walked through the Public Gardens, Boston Common and Beacon Hill. I visited many locations that were familiar to me from when I lived here, many years ago. I took lots of photos, but in the end was disappointed with most of them. Just an off day, I guess.

This was the most interesting of the lot and looks best in B&W. Since 2007, when Paris launched Vélib, Boston, NYC and Washington have also created bike lanes and adopted bike sharing programs. This is a shot of a bike station in Boston, right next to where I used to live. I might have tried this in my youth if they had existed then, but I am not brave enough now and will stick to walking.
