Our accommodation in Burwood, Sydney.


This is a renovated Federation Guesthouse in a very quiet avenue of Burwood.

We have loved staying in this delightful building and will happily return in the future.


Today was our last lunch together as a family. This afternoon, our daughter left for the international airport and her return flight to Wellington. It has really been a special and happy time and an extra special birthday.


Federation architecture

- in Australia, it is the style that was prevalent from around 1890 to 1915.

- The name refers to the Federation of Australia on 1st January 1901, when the Australian colonies collectively became the Commonwealth of Australia.
