A Slice of Ridgeway

We were very tired so we had a good lie in and got up late. Good to recharge the batteries.

In the afternoon we headed down to Letcombe Bassett near Wantage to see good friends Jude and Justin. We drove through a massive rain shower on the way over but it looked OK once we got there so we headed out for a walk along the Ridgeway with their lovely little dog Maggie. Once we were as far away from the house as we were going to be the heavens opened. Thank goodness we'd brought walking gear and a change of clothes for dinner later. I (Chris) caught a few photos of the fabulous view just before the rain really took hold.

We arrived back, soggy but not not cold, Maggie was given a quick towel down and loved the whole experience! Our hosts had prepared a fabulous meal and it was fantatstic to see them. They won't get such good service when they come to us!
