Oh The Irony!

Oh the irony of it!
Two days of Bank Holiday weather with gloom, mist and rain and His Lordship and I have bought His and Her tubes of super efficient sun screen oil to take with us to the Outer Isles next week.
What were we thinking? Better to have bought a large spray can of waterproofing agent.

While we feel so sorry for our south of the border cycling friends spending the weekend under canvas at the local caravan park while they ride in the cold and wet of the first Edinburgh Cycle Rally, our feelings are tempered by the fact that it will probably be our turn in a few days to huddle inside a wet tent.
On the plus side though, we will not be solely reliant on our bikes, we will also have the car as a refuge.

It will be, as HL says, a different kind of fun. You have to admire his stoicism.
