All in a day's work

This morning my friend and I set out for a country walk in the Borders as the sun broke through after a night of heavy rain. However, the sunshine was short-lived and we ended up on a tree-lined farm road with the thunder crashing about our ears, lighting flashing and the rain coming down in stair-rods. To the rescue came the farmer in his buggy with his sheepdogs on board. He offered to give us a lift back to base in his 4x4. What a nice man he was! A shortened walk but a memorable one!
