Happy memories

A friend posted an old photo of himself with two other friends on Facebook a few days ago. We were all part of a large crowd at school, many of which I haven't seen in almost thirty years.

It was only after making a funny remark about the dodgy eighties hairstyles that I read his commentary that went with the photo. He'd just returned from the funeral of one of the boys in the photo.

I wished the ground would open up and swallow me up and made profuse apologies but thankfully both he and other family members saw the funny side of the comments and weren't offended.

I promised to dig out some old photos I had of the gang. It feels like yesterday!
